A little update for you all

So basically...

Nothing really that interesting to note..

I guess..

EXCEPT.....

I'm being featured on BBC News 24 this Saturday and Sunday on a programme called "YOUR NEWS", which airs at the following times:

Saturday 3:30pm and 10:30pm
Sunday: 10:30am and 11:30pm

Be sure to tune in if you live in the UK and have freeview/sky or some sort of TV service where you can watch BBC News 24.

Special special thanks go out to a chap called Magnus, who is a senior producer at the BBC- I'd like to thank him for making me crap myself in excitement after his phonecall (and also for featuring me on the program!). A Massive Massive thank you Magnus!

Thats all I really have to say until tomorrow...progress is going pretty well with the ebook, and I'm on schedule to have it finished by the end of the week!

Stay tuned,

Dave

The Business Challenge - Tuesday 17th

Apologies to all who expected a video to be posted yesterday, youtube had some problems converting the video..so i've made a new one in my ill state and here it is:

Basically the video talks about how I've got two chapters done so far, and I hope to get the video published by the end of THIS week. I realise some people have had trouble understanding my accent, so what i'll do is continue transcripting the videos. See below for this weeks:

TRANSCRIPT

Ok, its now tuesday and i really do apologise to everyone who tuned in yesterday to find no video uploaded to my account. I'm going to apologise now for my voice quality, because i've got a very bad cold and i have a sore throat, so i'll keep it short! Basically im on chapter two of the ebook entitled media attention, i.e getting newspapers, tv, radio all those interested in your product. The ebook is 7 pages long so far, and its going pretty well - i think im on target. I have to get it finished by the end of the week, and that is going to be very challenging. But hopefully I'll get it done. That's all i have to say, i had a couple of comments telling me that people cannot understand my london accent so i'm going to continue transcripting the videos on my blog -you can find everything on my blog. From now until thursday, you'll get another update on wednesday (Blog only) and a video on thursday...you know how it goes. So, stay safe and i'll see you soon!

The online business challenge - Part 2

Below you can find my next video, i have not included a transcript yet...It's late a night and I'll do it tomorrow.

All videos can be found on our YouTube account TheBusinessChallenge

So this is the first in what will seem for me, a long run of the video series. I've begun work on the ebook now. After deciding on all the chapters, I have a working title which I name "How To Sell Ice To An Eskimo". As far as i'm aware of, Microsoft used to ask their potential applicants this question to let them show off their marketing and creative skills. I thought it would interesting to use as selling ice to someone who doesn't need ice is a challenging task, and I personally feel the techniques I'm going to cover in the ebook will cover these.

Check back tomorrow for a transcript of the video of you need it, otherwise tune in again on FRIDAY.

See you soon,
Dave

The online business challenge - introduction

Before you begin reading, check out my opening video. It will give you a lot of insight. Below it you'll find a short transcript and then some extra information I guess I'll think up on the spot!

TRANSCRIPT

Ok, so let me introduce myself first - my name is David and I'm a 17 year old student and I live in the UK. Basically, I'm doing these to not only promote what will soon be my business but to give you an insight into what its like to be a 17 year old immersing himself in a world of the big fish, and I wanted to show you my struggle and my accomplishments. As I said earler, I am 17, and the reason im doing it is that my friends and family don't think I can do it because my youth - my age - they think all entrepreneurs are 30-50 years old and yes, it is probably true, but i'm going to see if i can do it and create an online business based around informational books within 4 weeks. So the date today is April 9th, so on may 1st that's when it all finishes and hopefully i'll have it all done by then. It's going to be based around an ebook on sales techniques online, because ive done some internet marketing before so i know my way around it. Also i have a background in sales as a part time job, so at weekends I work for the UK's leading tile distrubitor as a sales advisor so i have to deal with customers and I have to make people buy stuff they wouldnt usually by. So i'm going to make an ebook based on sales techniques, adapted for the online world, and im going to sell it a ridiculously low price - i'll be writing it, marketing it...I dont have any real plans yet...I've been thinking about this for a while but i've only just got my head down to do it. So, it all kicks of wednesday when i'll be releasing my first proper video showing you what ive done. It will continue every monday wednesday and friday from then on until May1st, and i'll probably do some more after.
Tune in on wednesday, and I hope you like the video...see you soon

END OF TRANSCRIPT

Yeah i made a few mistakes writing that up, i realse but it was only short hand and I needed to get it done pretty fast. I've just finished the second video and I'll be uploading it within a minute or two to a NEW, dedicated YouTube account for these videos - TheBusinessChallenge

Check back soon,

Dave
